The Kani shawl comes from Kanihama. Kani weaving craft uses small wooden sticks called 'Kanis'. Around a Kanis, colored weft thread is wound to create magical patterns over a shawl.
The Kani shawl is an extraordinary expression of art. It is woven by hand using a number of eyeless wooden sticks called Kanis or Tujis.
These shawls feature intricate weft weaves in their making. As such, they have a high value in the eyes of artisan patrons.
80% of Kani shawls are made from cashmere itself, some designs use silk and other fine wool for extra strength and shine.
Kani artisans are the most skilled and very patient. The level of focus that these artisans put into this painstaking work is simply incredible. An artisan is able to weave at most one centimeter per day. But it depends on the complexity and labyrinth patterns of the design to be woven. Some Kani shawls take between 3 and 36 months to make.

Salul Kani is ideal for an elegant, high-class gift.
